Show American Crafts at home or on vacation
You're invited to enter!
The rules are simple.
As part of American Craft Week -- October 7-16, 2011 -- we would like to see your view of American craft today - at home, in the studio, or on your vacation. Send us up to 5 photos that reflect your connectedness to American Craft in your home setting, in a craft studio, or on a trip to a craft destination. We would love to see American Craft from your eyes! Entries must be submitted by Oct. 21, 2011. Voting ends at midnight, Nov. 15. Winners will be announced by Dec. 15 and be featured on the American Craft Week web page and with press releases about the contest.
Two awards will be given - a $150 gift certificate to your favorite American Craft Week participant for best photo, judged by an ACW panel; and a $150 gift certificate to your favorite American Craft Week participant for the Peoples' Choice of best photo. Each photo entry is eligible for both prizes.
Entering is as easy as 1,2,3:
- "Like" American Craft Week on Facebook
- Email your photos (up to 5 per person, 18 years or older) to photos@americancraftweek.com. Include your name, address, phone # and the name of your favorite ACW participant.
- After the submission period is over, we will post entries on Facebook. Get your friends to "Like" your picture. The photo with the most Likes wins the Peoples' Choice award.
It's that simple!
ACW reserves the right not to post any photo it deems inappropriate. All winning entries become the property of American Craft Week. Low resolution images may be submitted for the contest, but high resolution photos suitable for print media must be made available to ACW before prize money is sent.
Terms: All photos and videos must be the original work of the entrants and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. Entrants agree to permit American Craft Week to make available and display/perform and otherwise distribute entrants’ names and photo submission in all media in perpetuity without compensation.
